In order to encourage young people to actively engage in the theme of finance management, offering content to assist them in financial empowerment, preparing them for the challenges of adulthood, focusing on reducing and combating indebtedness culture, which currently reaches 80% of the Brazilian population, the “Entrepreneurial Citizenship” movement, in partnership with the Rio Branco Shopkeepers-The Commercial Association (CDL) Friday, 20, the first edition of the School Olympics of Financial Education ”.
Students from 6th to 9th grade of five public schools and five private schools will be competing for R $ 280,000 in financial investments. Divided as follows:
The first places in each of the series (6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade) will receive a prize of R $ 30 thousand; The seconds placed $ 20,000 and the third placed $ 10,000. They will also be contemplated with R $ 10,000, the three teachers responsible for the winning students of each grade. The winning schools will receive a trophy.
In this first edition, 10 schools will participate, five from the public network and five from the private network. To participate, interested institutions must register in the competition, by the registration link that will be made available from 8 am on June 23, on the website
They will be qualified to participate in the Olympics, the first five public schools and the five individuals who first register. Therefore, the criterion will be the order to fill and send the form. The organizing team will inform the institutions that can qualify to participate in the competition.
To assist teachers and students, booklets will be made available, prepared by the Entrepreneurial Citizenship Movement team, with content on financial education. It will be up to the school to define how the booklets will be used.
Upon registration, schools must inform the names of the teachers who will be responsible for accompanying the students. They will receive guidance on the use of booklets. The booklets will be the basis for classes, which should be taught in August and September, as well as for the preparation of tests, which will take place in October.
The organizing committee will accompany the process, providing guidance and clarifying doubts. The event will have two phases: first and second stage. In the first phase, which will take place on October 1, 2025, all students in the registered schools participate. In the second phase, which will take place on October 29, 2025, students participate with 80% or more hits in the first phase or up to 20% of participants.
The first phase tests will have 15 multiple choice questions, lasting 1h40. In the second phase there will be 20 objective questions, lasting 1h30.
The winners of the first edition of the Financial Education Olympics will be announced in November 2025.
