European foreign ministers are expected to meet with Iran’s chancellor on Friday, with the aim of creating a way back to diplomacy over their contested nuclear program, although the US actively finds it to join Israel in the attacks.
The US, France, and Germany (known as “E3”) Chancellers, as well as the head of foreign policy of the European Union, talked to Araqchi Abbas earlier this week and have coordinated with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
In a rare phone call, they pressed Araqchi about the need to return to the negotiating table and avoid a new climb. At Iran’s suggestion, both sides agreed to meet in person.

These conversations occur after negotiations between Iran and the United States failed when Israel against Iran’s nuclear facilities and ballistic abilities on June 12.
“Iranians cannot sit with Americans while we can,” a European diplomat said.
“Let’s ask them to return to the table to discuss the nuclear issue before the worst scenario, while expressing our concerns about their ballistic missiles, the support for Russia and the detention of our citizens,” he added.
The European powers, which did not participate in Iran’s nuclear negotiations with the United States, were increasingly frustrated with the American negotiation strategy in negotiations.
They considered some of the unrealistic demands and feared the possibility of a weak initial political structure that led to negotiations with no defined deadline.
Two diplomats said that there is no high expectations for an advance in Geneva, where the head of foreign policy of the European Union will also be present.
But they said it was vital to get involved with Iran because, once the war ended, it would remain unresolved, as it would be impossible to eradicate the acquired knowledge, leaving the country potentially capable of rebuilding its program clandestinely.
An Iranian authority said Tehran has always welcomed diplomacy, but he asked E3 to use all available means to press Israel to interrupt his attacks on Iran.
“Iran is still committed to diplomacy as the only way to resolve disputes – but diplomacy is under attack,” the authority said.

As part of last week’s AIEA resolution, European authorities said they could refer the case of Iran to the United Nations Security Council in late summer to increase pressure on Iran if there was no progress in nuclear negotiations.
This would be different from the reposition of UN sanctions, known as a return mechanism, before October 18, when the 2015 agreement expires.
Europeans are the only ones that can re-comply, and diplomats say the three countries sought to set a deadline at the end of August to launch it.
