Grandma’s apple cake This is a recipe that is worth having at hand when you feel like a classic afternoon tea. All you need is wheat flour, natural yogurt, eggs, oil and sugar to conjure up a fluffy and delicious dough. They will also be useful Apples, the best will be the hard, slightly sour, e.g. gray reneta, ligol or culinary apples. It is also worth adding a decent pinch cinnamonthe spice will make it smell beautiful throughout the house.
Before you get on baking, prepare the right form. A good choice will be A cake tin with a diameter of 22 cm.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 4 red, ripe apples,
- 190 g of natural yogurt,
- 190 g of wheat flour,
- 125 g cukru,
- 75 ml of rapeseed oil,
- 2 eggs in size L or XL,
- 1 lemon juice,
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder,
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon,
- 1 pinch of salt.
Cut the apples in medium -sized cubes, without peeling them. Transfer them to a bowl with lemon juice and cinnamon. Mix
In a separate bowl, mix the flour with baking powder and salt.
In the next bowl, grate eggs with sugar for 3-4 minutes to obtain a light and fluffy mass. Reduce mixer speed and gradually pour in oil, yogurt and vanilla extract. Mix until a smooth consistency.
Then add sifted dry ingredients and using a spatula, mix only to combine.
Pour the dough into a 22 cm diameter cake lined with baking paper. On top, scatter apples.
Put the dough in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake them for 30 minutes without opening the door. Then check the readiness of baking with a stick – if it is clean, remove the dough.
Gray apple cake set aside for 10 minutes to cool on the grid, then remove them from the mold and put it to a plate or plate.
Serve hot or cold. Store in a tight container in the fridge up to 5 days or at room temperature up to 3 days.
