Former INSS attorney Virgílio Antônio Filho and entrepreneurs Maurício Camisotti and Antonio Carlos Camilo Antunes, known as “Bald of the INSS”, fired the Federal Court in Brasilia to try to annul the investigation that investigates undue discounts in the social security of retirees.
The three are targets of a Federal Police inquiry that investigates an alleged corruption scheme involving contracts with class entities. The information was published by UOL and confirmed by the globe.

The defense of the investigated is based on the request on a recent decision of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), which restricts the Federal Police’s access to data from the Coaf (Financial Activities Control Board). According to this understanding, the PF cannot directly request the production of Financial Intelligence Report (RIFs) without prior authorization of justice.
According to the lawyers, the elements obtained from Coaf were fundamental to trigger the investigation and, therefore, all material derived from confidentiality breaks should be considered null and void. They claim that there was a violation of due process of law and the fundamental rights of the investigated.
The investigation conducted by the PF identified evidence of irregular transfers of resources through INSS associations, which would operate automatic discounts on retired paychecks. The case is under analysis of the 15th Federal Court of Brasilia, which must decide whether to comply with the annulment made by the accused.
