Iran’s head of the atomic energy organization threatens to process the head of the United Nations Nuclear Surveillance body.

In a letter shared by Iranian news agency Fars, Mohammad Eslami criticized the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (AIEA), Rafael Grossi, for “inaction” during the attacks of Israel to Iranian nuclear facilities.

The letter was published after Israel bombed the nuclear installation

“It is necessary to fulfill its constitutional duties, immediately ending this inaction and condemning these actions of the Zionist regime that are contrary to international regulations,” says the letter, adding that Iran “will seek appropriate legal measures, especially in relation to the inactions taken by you.”

The AIEA head said the agency would continue to “monitor and closely evaluate the situation in relation to Israeli attacks on nuclear facilities” in Iran and that inspectors will remain in the country, ready to be sent to nuclear facilities when possible.

Grossi added that he was ready to “travel immediately and get involved with all relevant parts” to help ensure that nuclear facilities are protected and used for peaceful purposes.

“For the AIAA to act, it will be necessary a constructive and professional dialogue, and this should happen as soon as possible,” he said.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry also criticized the head of the UN nuclear agency, accusing him of propagating a “misleading narrative” about and becoming an accomplice of the Israeli military campaign.

Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei harshly criticized the agency for declaring, on June 12, that Iran was violating its obligations of nuclear non-proliferation hours before Israel launched its first attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Baqaei stated that the report was “absolutely biased” and had been used as a “pretext” for Israel to attack Iran’s “peaceful nuclear nuclear facilities.”

In an interview with Al Jazeera on Thursday, Grossi denied that AIEA’s discoveries gave Israel signal to attack Iran.
