The Israeli army said Friday having again bombarded the headquarters of the Organization for Innovation and Defensive Research (SPND), an Iranian Ministry of Ministry of Defense in charge of developing emerging technologies for military purposes.
According to a military statement, Israeli forces also attacked “tens” of military objectives in Iran, including several missile manufacturing facilities located around Tehran.
“These plants were developed over many years and have worked as a key industrial center for the Iranian Ministry of Defense,” said the statement. Israel had already bombarded the Spnd last Sunday. “It was established in 2011 by Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the founder of the Iran Nuclear Weapons Program,” said the Armed Forces.
Likewise, according to the statement, a plant that produced a component considered essential for Tehran’s nuclear weapons program was reached on which no more details were given. In a subsequent statement, the army said he also bombarded three missile skirts in Iran “and a military commander who was operating to shoot the missiles.”
The Israeli armed forces claim to have destroyed so far about 200 missile launch platforms in Iran, two thirds of the total available. “We estimate that they still have more than 100 and that could damage Israel and our cities very seriously,” said an Israeli military officer in a virtual meeting with journalists on Thursday.
At least 5 injured in an attack by Iran in southern Israel
Five people were slightly injured in the early hours of this Friday when a missile shot from Iran hit the town of Beersheba (in the Néguev desert, South), where another projectile managed to hit a hospital yesterday, the Israeli emergency service of Magen David Adom (MDA) reported.
“Following the impact of the missile on the Neguev, which hit residential buildings. A six -storey building suffered damage and destruction, and the nearby apartments were also damaged,” he collected a statement from the MDA.
This emergency service said to have served five minor injured people in the place because of the explosion that presented bruises, inhalation of smoke or anxiety. It is the second impact, for the second consecutive day, in Bersheeba. On Thursday, a missile managed to reach the Soroka hospital, the main south of the country, causing serious damage to one of the plants of the building and 72 minor injured.
Around 5.48 local time (2.48 GMT), the Israeli army announced the new missile barrage that was heading to the country: “Recently, the defense forces of Israel (FDI) identified missiles launched from Iran to the territory of the state of Israel. Defense systems work to intercept the threat,” he collected a military statement.
After that, the Israel Fire Service only warned of an impact on the southern district of the country: the one registered in Bersheeba. Between 2.57 and 3.13, defense systems also intercepted three drones fired from Iran in the Dead Sea area (East). First one alone and then a second wave of two.
Hours before, around 0.20, they arrested another aerial vehicle not manned in Haifa (north), a city that has suffered impacts several times and towards which the Islamic Republic points for its key role in the Israeli industry.
