Juraj Kukura ends on June 30 as the director of the Arena Theater. This stems from Friday’s decision of the deputies of the Bratislava self -governing region (BOD) who approved its appeal. According to BSK chairman Juraj, the proposal to terminate cooperation is Droba by collective decision of the BOD Office in connection with persistent financial and management problems and the result of losing confidence in the theater management.
“It is a collective proposal that has been formulated for several months. The reasons continue to persist and have worsened over the last month,” said Droba, noting that Loss of confidence is a sufficient reason for ending cooperation.
BSK, the founder of the theater, announces a new selection procedure for the head of this institution. However, it should no longer be in an indefinite period of time, but for five years. The selection process will also include the obligation to submit the elaborated concept of the Arena Theater Management for the years 2025 to 2030.
