The Federal Court decided to maintain the pre-trial detention of Hélio do Nascimento Bezerra Júnior, former president of PP Young in Acre, investigated in an operation of the Federal Police that investigates international drug trafficking, criminal organization and money laundering.
The decision is made by Judge Jair Facundes Júnior of the 1st Federal Court of Acre, who rejected the defense request to revoke the arrest. In the decision, the magistrate understood that there was no new presentation that would justify the change in the precautionary measure.

In addition to maintaining the arrest, the judge also accepted the complaint for illegal possession of restricted use ammunition against Hélio Júnior. During the warrant of the operation in the operation carried out in April this year, the Federal Police seized 46 .223 Remington caliber ammunition, as well as a compatible rifle charger.

The defense claimed that the material would be intended for sports shooting and offered no risk, but the arguments were not accepted by the court, which also ruled out the possibility of summary acquittal.
