The (Supreme Federal Court) upheld on Thursday (19), after a custody hearing, the arrest of the reserve colonel Marcelo Câmara, former advisor to former president (PL) and defendant in the lawsuit of the coup plot.
Chamber was arrested by the Federal Police on Wednesday (18), by determination of the minister.
The decision occurred after the military lawyer, Luiz Eduardo Kuntz, to send to the Supreme Messages and audios that would have been exchanged between Chamber and Lieutenant Colonel on content related to the award-winning denunciation signed by the former Bolsonaro orders.
Based on conversations, the defender asked the collaboration to be annulled.
In his decision, Moraes states that Chamber was complying with precautionary measures that made it impossible for him to maintain contact with the other investigators of the coup plot, including through third parties.
“In this way, the conduct reported in the file are very serious, indicating, at this time, the possible attempt to obstruct the investigation, by Marcelo Costa Câmara and his lawyer Luiz Eduardo de Almeida Santos Kuntz, who unlawfully overflowed from legal lawyer obligations,” he says.
The STF minister also determined the opening of an inquiry against the lawyer and the defendant for the possible crime of obstruction of investigation. House, ICD and the lawyer should be heard by within 15 days.
