Midsummer Night is a Christian holiday that somewhat absorbed folk. It falls on Christmas Eve of St. John the Baptist, which takes place from the night of June 23-24. This is somewhat an attempt to assimilate old rituals that were celebrated during the summer solstice, i.e. June 21.
