After 1945, and partly that still applies today, the fact that the resistance to the Nazi regime was also borne by women has largely been hidden. In 1988, Elisabeth Reichhart replied to this “forgetting”, which was also accompanied by the speechlessness of the victims, with a novel that, from today’s perspective, not only means an important contribution to memory work that it also opened a gender -specific view at the time when gender studies had not yet been mentioned. As a result, the novel cannot have lost its relevance even after almost four decades, on the contrary. If towards the end it says: “The right -wing spread more and more.
