However, there is no official plan for evacuation
The Brazilian Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, began the process of identifying Brazilians who want to leave the country, due to the recent conflict with Iran, which began June 13. In a consular alert released today (20) the diplomatic representation said it monitors them and released a form to fill Brazilians in Israel.
“In order to allow the updated identification and location of Brazilians who are in Israel and who intend to leave the country, the embassy requests that the form indicated below be completed,” the statement says.
The form must be answered by person, regardless of age. However, the embassy said that, so far, “there is no plan for the eventual operation of repatriation or evacuation of Brazilians from Israel.
By decision of the Israeli government, the Ben-Gurion airport and Israeli airspace remains closed to all flights, without reopening, except for flights with exceptional prior permission, granted by the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA) and the Operations Center of the respective International Airport.
The consular warning also says that Brazilians who intend to leave the country through land borders should do so by their own means. At this time, the land border posts are operational, following certain times and can be consulted on the page that brings information on payment of fees and other guidelines.
The embassy advises to evaluate the risk risks and follow, with special attention, to the relevant safety rules and any visa requirements in the countries for which they intend to move. “Possible consular assistance in these cases is limited,” says the statement.
On Thursday (18), the Israeli government, through the command of the Israel’s Internal Front (Homefront Command/Pikud Haoref), decided to reduce the alert level in most of the country for a limited state of activity. The decision will be in force, at first, until 20h this Saturday (20).
The command also establishes the opening hours of border posts and safety restrictions, which are subject to changes at any time, according to the evolution of the security scenario.
“It is therefore recommended to continually check the official sources shown here before any displacement,” he says.
The Brazilian Embassy in Tel Aviv also reiterates the consular alert, in force since October 2023, which recommends avoiding non -essential trips to Israel.
