Vienna – The number of nursing care recipients rose again in May 2025. For the first time, more than half a million people – a total of 500,554 – received the cash benefit, as can be seen from the latest data from the Ministry of Social Affairs. This means an increase of 10,841 people or 2.2 percent compared to May 2024 (489,713 recipient). Compared to the previous month of April (499,112 recipients), there were more entitled to claims (+0.29 percent).
