Golda Meir: Η ιστορία της μοναδικής γυναίκας πρωθυπουργού του Ισραήλ

While the war -torn situation is increasingly escalating, a window of opportunity to normalize today opens today in Geneva, Switzerland, where his foreign minister, Abas Arakzi, will meet with his European counterparts.

More specifically, the meeting will be the Foreign Minister of France, Germany and Britain, as well as the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Kaya Callas. In fact, ARAGSSI said the meeting would take place at the request of the three European countries.

Europe is pushing Europe

This meeting is part of the efforts made by the countries of Old Epirus, while the Israelis continue the bombings aimed at dismantling the Tehran nuclear program, with undiminished intensity. At the same time, the planet is waiting to see what US President Donald Trump will do, who remains enigmatic about whether he will give US forces approval to attack Iran.

The aim of Europeans is to have a truce, with French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Baros, to state in his statements: “France, Germany and Great Britain are open to a meeting with an Iranian delegation that the negotiations want to restart but to have a truce.”

He also said that “France believes that there should be negotiations with the cancellation of the Iranian nuclear program for military purposes.”

The enigmatic Trump

On the opposite side of the Atlantic, Donald Trump made an ambiguous statement, stating that “no one knows what I will do” and “I can do it (ordered to attack Iran), he may not.” Shortly afterwards, a Wall Street Journal report, which saw the light of publicity, said that in Iran. The report was rejected by Trump, writing on the Truth Social Social Platform, Trump said: “The Wall Street Journal has no idea what I am thinking about Iran!”

On the other hand, an Israeli official said the US president is expected to approve his country’s involvement in attacks on Iran’s nuclear program. “The expectation is that they will participate, but no one is pushing them,” the official said. “We will know in the next 24-48 hours,” the official estimated.

The starmine call to Trump and the German pressure on Israel

At the same time, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Kir Starmer, called on Donald Trump to distance himself from military action against Iran, underlining the “real risk of escalation” of the conflict. In his statements, Starmer emphasized the need to seek a diplomatic solution and called on all sides to contribute in this direction.

The British prime minister even pointed out that there were “many rounds of discussions with the US”, adding that this process is “the way to resolve the issue”.

At the same time, German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which Merz called for restraint from Israel in his military campaign against Iran, as a German source.

Mertz expressed the support of Germany, first of all, in Israeli military attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, but stressed the importance of searching for diplomatic solutions to resolve the conflict, according to the same source.

Concerning our country, it is recalled that in a recent interview, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis made it clear that “Greece will naturally not participate in this conflict in any way. We have made it clear. We believe that there is no military solution in this conflict. If we look at the story, there have been many fantasies in the Middle East the ability to solve structural problems through the military road. “
