Decision allows meetings with relatives close to Marcelo Câmara, detained for trying to obstruct investigations on attempted coup
The Minister of the Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes authorized visits from family members to Army Reserve Colonel and former special advisor to the former president (PL).

Chamber was arrested preventively on Wednesday (18.Jun), at the Army Police Battalion in Brasilia. He is suspected of attempting to obstruct investigations into the attempted coup of January 8.

“Given the foregoing, I authorize visits to Marcelo Costa Câmara for his wife, children, parents and siblings, in person and virtually, provided that the Battalion regulatory rules in which the days of the week and period mentioned above are met. Finally, I determine that all other visits must be previously authorized by this rapporteur, except lawyers with power of attorney in the file, who must comply with the Battalion regulatory rules where the prisoner is collected. Communicate to Lieutenant Colonel Carlos Augusto da Silva Neto, commander of the Army Police Battalion of Brasilia, including electronic means. Regularly constituted lawyers are summoned. Science to the Attorney General’s Office”.
