More critical cold periods are scheduled for the dawn on Tuesday and Wednesday; Solidarity shelter at Pedro II Station, from Line 3-Red Metro, will welcome homeless people

The most critical cold periods are scheduled for the dawn on Tuesday and Wednesday. The lowest temperatures should be recorded in the Ribeira Valley and Itapeva, with 3 ° C; in Serra da Mantiqueira, with 4 ° C; and in the regions of the Paraíba Valley, Presidente Prudente, Marilia and surrounding them, with 6 ° C. There is also a forecast of minimums of 7 ° C in Greater São Paulo, Sorocaba, Campinas, Bauru and Araraquara; 8 ° C in Araçatuba and São José do Rio Preto; 9 ° C in Barretos, Franca and Ribeirão Preto; 11 ° C on the North Coast; and 12 ° C in Baixada Santista.
The strongest rains, accompanied by intense winds, should reach the regions of Itapeva, Registration, Campinas, Sorocaba, Sao Paulo, Metropolitan Region, Paraíba Valley and the entire coast of São Paulo. Already the regions of Presidente Prudente, Araçatuba, Ribeirão Preto, Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Barretos, Franca, Araraquara, Bauru and Marilia should have rainfall and winds of moderate intensity.
The Civil Defense guides that the population redouble the care of the elderly, children and homeless people. In the event of storms, the recommendation is to avoid flooded areas, not to be sheltered under trees, to move away from windows and metal structures and remain in a safe place until the end of instability.
The solidarity shelter will offer mattresses, blankets, hygiene kits, food and social care. People welcomed will also receive a ticket for breakfast at Restaurante Prato da Rua 25 de Março. Pets can be taken to the scene. The operation will be from 19h on Monday (23) until 8am on Wednesday (25).
