Pope Leo XIV commented on the situation in the Middle East

O pronounced on Sunday morning (22) about the situation in the and the escalation of the conflict with the US attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities. At the end of his weekly Angelus prayer at the Vatican, he stated: “Humanity appeals for peace in the face of alarming Middle East news. Each member of the international community has the moral responsibility to end the war tragedy before it becomes an irreparable abyss.” On Saturday night (21), the United States attacked Iran, and with that decision, it shared the conflict between Iran and Israel that had its fuse on June 13, when the Israeli army made attacks against Terrã.
