Facilities hit by the US on Saturday (21.jun) are considered central components of the Iranian nuclear program
Iran said on Sunday (22.jun.2025) that it will continue with its nuclear activities even after US attacks on uranium enrichment facilities. The statement is from AEI (Organization of Atomic Energy of Iran).
“The organization guarantees to the great nation of Iran that, despite the evil conspiracies of its enemies… it will not let the path of development of this national industrywhich is the result of the blood of nuclear martyrs, is interrupted ”, He said in a statement issued by Iranian state media.
US attack
The United States performed attacks on nuclear facilities in Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz, Iran. President Donald Trump (Republican) announced the military action on his profile on Saturday night (21.Jun).
The 3 facilities affected are considered central components of the Iranian nuclear program, and had already been targeted by Israeli attacks earlier. Complexes house uranium enrichment technologies and nuclear fuel development.
United States Chief of Staff, General Dan Caine, said the foundations in the cities of Natanz, Esfahan and Fordow suffered “Severe damage.”
Iran confirmed the US attack. The government of the Persian country, however, said it was able to remove equipment from the facilities before the bombing.
One of the main focuses of Saturday’s attack (21.Jun) was the nuclear facility of Fordow, 95 km from the underground capital. The place is on a fortified mountain slope, tens of meters from the surface.
