Erdogan met with Arakzi on the sidelines of the Conference of the Islamic Cooperation Organization in Istanbul. In a statement issued by the Turkish President’s office, he stressed that Erdogan said Israel should stop the attacks immediately.
The Turkish president reiterated his country’s readiness to play a role in serving the process and to help continue nuclear talks, adding that: “There must be steps as soon as possible to open diplomacy on a technical level, but also at the leaders’ level between Iran and the US.”added the Turkish Presidential Office.
Arakzi: We can’t negotiate with the US while we are bombarded
“It is obvious that we cannot negotiate with the US while our people are under bombing,” said Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragsi on the sidelines of the 51st Council of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OS). He also noted that Tehran is ready to negotiate a solution similar to that of 2015.
“Unfortunately, we have come to the conclusion that the US is involved in this aggression from the beginning. They denied it. They are constantly saying that they are not involved, but from day one we have a lot of evidence that they are being involved and now, tweets and interviews by the US president clearly show the US leadership role. “
Arachchi also said: “Unfortunately, we have heard that the US may also participate in this aggression. This will be a very unfortunate situation. I think it will be very, very dangerous for everyone. “
Elsewhere in his statements, the Iranian Foreign Minister noted that “Israel has decided to attack Iran”, adding: “It is clear that they are opposed to diplomacy, they do not want to resolve this issue in a peaceful way. We are completely ready for a solution through negotiations like that of 2015. “
He recalled that the 2015 agreement was the result of two years of negotiations and when “we signed the agreement, the whole world celebrated it”.
Unrealistic European proposals
Discussions and proposals by European forces on Iran’s nuclear program in Geneva are unrealistic and perseverance will not bring the two sides closer to an agreement, a high -ranking Iranian official said at the Reuters News Agency.
