Today, I officially announce my UFC retirement. This decision comes after a lot of reflection, I want to book a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the journey I have lived over the years.
From the first time I stepped on the octagon, my goal was to challenge the boundaries of what was possible in this sport. Make me the youngest UFC champion in history, defend my title against some of the best fighters in the world and share unforgettable moments with fans from around the world-these are memories that I will keep forever. I faced incredible ups and downs, but each challenge taught me something valuable and it made me stronger as a fighter and a person.
I want to thank UFC, Dana, Hunter, Lorenzo, God, my family, my coaches, my teammates and all the fans who supported me in each chapter. The unshakable support and the faith you placed on me was my base. To my fellow fighters, thanks for arousing the best in me and for the respect we share inside and outside the octagon.
In closing this chapter of my life, I long for new opportunities and challenges. MMA will always be part of who I am, I’m excited to see how I can continue to contribute to the sport and inspire others in new ways. Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey with me. The best is yet to come. “
