Jon Jones: Numbers and belts
Jon Jones is widely recognized as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. Professional since 2008, he has accumulated a 27 -won cartel, 1 loss and 1 “no contest”. At the age of 23, he became the youngest champion in the history of the organization by winning his first half-heavyweight belt in March 2011. Jones successfully defended this crown 11 times, establishing the consecutive defenses record in the division to date.
In 2016, after a brief loss of the title due to extra-Cage issues, he regained the half-heavy belt, becoming two-time champion of the category. The following year, he still carried the interim half-dealed title, which he kept without defenses. In 2023, he migrated to the heavyweight division and knocked out Ciryl Gane to erect the inaugural belt of UFC’s heavyweight champion, ending his trajectory without defenses in this class.
In addition to the belts, Jones adds 10 knockouts, 6 finishes and 11 decision wins, demonstrating his versatility within the octagon.
– Jon Jones called me last night and retired. Jon Jones is officially retired. Tom Aspinall is the UFC heavyweight champion – said Dana White.
