Iran’s Supreme Supreme Security Council should make the final decision on the closure of the Ormuz Strait, Iran’s Press said on Sunday, after Parliament allegedly approved the measure.
The decision to close the Strait, where about 20% of the global oil and gas demand flows, is not yet definitive.
But the parliamentarian and commander of the Revolutionary Guard, Esmail Kosari, told the Young Journalists club on Sunday that this is on the agenda and “will be done whenever necessary.”
The decision occurs shortly after the attacks on the United States on Saturday night (21).
At the time, President Donald Trump reported that he completed a “very successful attack” against Iran’s nuclear bases, including Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.
