With a large presence of the Argentina fans at Rose Bowl, in Los Angeles, and drew 0-0 on Saturday (21), in a match valid for the second round of the group and the club World Cup. The result leaves the group tangled: River and total four points, while the Mexican team, with two, still has a chance to advance to the round of 16. The decisive round will be on Wednesday (25), with the clashes of millionaires against Internazionale and the Rayados against Urawa Red Diamonds. If the Portehos lose to the trendy Italian team, they will have to cheer against the Mexico team.

River began trying to push, especially on the left side of the attack, but soon saw Monterrey balance the match with good midfield. Ocampos and Canales forced goalkeeper Armani to two good defenses in the first 15 minutes. The Argentine response came in a free kick of Mastantuono, a promise already negotiated with Real Madrid, defended by Andrada.

The rest of the first half was marked by many fouls (21 in total) and little offensive inspiration. Defender Martínez lost the best chance of the game, already in the small area, finishing out. GALOPPO, former Sao Paulo, also took danger. In the final stage, River came back better, with good movement of Mastantuono, who stopped in a new defense of Andrada after 21 minutes. Borja missed two great opportunities, both face to face with the Mexican goalkeeper.

In the final minutes, the game was truncated, with many fault stoppages. At 41, Castaño was expelled, leaving River with one less, but Monterrey could not take advantage of the numerical advantage.
