Sad Administration for Slovakia: Died an excellent athlete and representative († 82)

At the age of 82, a former national water -proof goalkeeper and successful entrepreneur Anton “Anti” Kajlich died on Saturday (21 June) in Brisbane, Australia. He patented a floating water -pole gate and swimming paths to absorb waves. TASR informed the editor of the Slovak Radio Martin Jurčo.

Anton Kajlich was born on February 3, 1943 in Bratislava. As a one -year child he came with his parents, academic painter and graphic artist Aurel Kajlich and Jolana Kajlichová, to Piešťany. He was an excellent athlete, goalkeeper of the water -pole team Spa Piešťany and the national team of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.

In 1967 he stayed with his brother Aurel in Austria and went to the USA. He worked as a chemical engineer in Seattle on the Pacific coast of the USA. He founded an engineering-project company for hiking, recreation and promotion of recreational areas and large sports events Anti Leisure Technologies.

In the 1980s he founded the company Anti Wave, which became the world’s largest racing career manufacturer, water -pole gates, starter blocks and accessories. Later he lived shortly in New Zealand and then moved with his family to Australia. His son Anton finally took over the company management.

On the occasion of the reconstruction of the outdoor pool at the Piešťany swimming pool Eva in 2015 donated to the water polo club there starting blocks, swimming railways, water -pole gates and other accessories. In his honor, a tournament is organized every year in Piešťany, which bears his name. He last participated in it personally in October 2023 as an 80-year-old active player.
