The opposition movement of the PS occupied the post of Vice -President of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic Martin Dubéci not to take it a coalition. In the TA3 discussion session in politics, this was stated by PS chairman Michal Šimečka, saying that The coalition deputies came to the signals that the government majority in parliament would like the position. Minister of the Interior and Chairman of the Coalition Party Voice-SD Matúš Šutaj Eštok also confirmed that Voice MP Ján Ferenčák will remain the head of the parliamentary committee.

According to Šimečka, the Vice -President of Parliament will be able to control the coalition for the opposition. For example, Dubéci could participate in the Security Council meeting. “When the Security Council was about the alleged coup, there was no one of the opposition. So we want us to have this control,” stated. He refused that there was a political agreement with the CIS in the election.

Šutaj Eštok confirmed that the deputy of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Ján Ferenčák remains the head of the Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for European Affairs. “He is still a member, he is an ordinary member of the voice, we have 3,000 members. There are many skilled people we have in our voice. Mr. Ferenčák is, I think capable and skilful as the President of the Foreign Committee,” Set Šutaj Eštok.

At the same time, the Minister of the Interior responded to the question of the unity of the parliamentary club in the vote on the amendment to the Constitution of the Slovak Republic that he responded that If Ferenčák does not think there is only a man and a woman among the genders, let him not vote for the proposal.

Šimečka also criticized the statements of the Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) on the neutrality of Slovakia. According to him, such an expression from the Prime Minister’s mouth is dangerous and irresponsible, when “here to our borders Russia leads a bloody aggressive war against Ukraine, threatens us, Slovakia and the rest of Europe that it will send us missiles”.

He sees the Prime Minister’s statements as his opinion, which needs to be respected. The period when politicians could not say their opinion was, according to him, before 1989. At the same time, the Minister confirmed that if the foreign policy orientation of Slovakia would change from the western-oriented, voice-SD would leave the government.
