Madalena Meyer Resende, a specialist in European politics, believes that Iran “is between the sword and the wall,” after the attacks on the US dawn. “The Iran that now has two bad options (…) may retaliate and enter an attempt to attack the American foundations in the Middle East, or negotiate what would also be a huge defeat for the country’s regime,” he says.
