It is the conclusion of a study conducted by Gabriela Küster, a market intelligence expert at the similar data platform, based on data from the last five years.
According to the survey, ChatgPT, a leader fired at the gross traffic attraction, accounted for 86% of the entire audience generated by the sector’s five players, surpassing Gemini, Perplexity, Deepseek and Copilot added. Among all industries that receive traffic via chatgpt, computing and technology have 49.86%of participation, followed by news and media (8.25%), arts and entertainment (5.91%), science and education (5.63%) and law and government (5.39%).
Other tools have even more unequal distribution. Traffic participation for computing and technology categories reaches up to 85.7% at Google Gemini, 79.7% in Copilot, and 78% in DeepSek.
Perplexity, a notable tool between experts for their search features, generates a volume of access to the most distributed websites. Traffic direction to the computer and technology category was 26.17%, news and media follow with 12.79%, followed by law and government (11.88%), science and education (8.04%) and finance (4.47%).

The survey concludes that perplexity users tend to a more technical profile, focusing on objective answers and based on reliable sources. Gemini’s audience, on the other hand, stands out for being highly integrated with the Google ecosystem, taking advantage of the AI to optimize tasks with practicality and technological familiarity.
