Ferrari issued a statement confirming the replacement of one of its main pilots to the Austria Grand Prix.
The race will take place this Sunday (29), in Spielberg.
According to the team, It will not participate in the first session of free practice.
It will be replaced by Dino Beganovic, member of the “Prancing Horse” pilot academy and current competitor of Formula 2.
Beganovic is Swedish-bos’ and is 21 years old. It is in the 10th position of F2.
This will not be the first time. At the Bahrain GP in Sakhir, the young man also replaced Leclerc in one of the sessions.
“Bahrain was an extraordinary moment and I’m grateful to have another opportunity anytime soon in the season. Spielberg is the perfect place for this to happen. I’m very excited to participate in my second free training session with Scuderia Ferrari,” said Beganovic. ”
Thus, Ferrari will have completed half of the four debut TL1 sessions of the season, doing with Lewis Hamilton is the next to enter a possible rotation.
