The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, supported by Iran, condemned US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities in a statement on Sunday, but did not threaten to participate in Tehran’s retaliation.

“The blatant deception and disappointment practiced by US President Donald Trump, moved by control and arrogance illusions … confirm that the United States, along with the tyrants of arrogance, are a threat to the security and stability of the Islamic Republic,” the statement said.

“This proves to the whole world that America is the official sponsor of terrorism and does not recognize international conventions, humanitarian laws, commitments or obligations.”

The US consider Hezbollah a terrorist group.

Hezbollah has asked “Arab and Islamic countries and the free peoples of the world” to position themselves alongside Iran.
