Japan considers that US bombing shows his will to “descale” the situation

Japan’s government said Monday that “actions” [los bombardeos] from the United States in Iran “demonstrate their determination for descaling the situation” and for preventing them from acquiring nuclear weapons.

In a statement, Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iweaya, has thus expressed the Japanese position on Washington’s participation in the conflict between Iran and Israel, after the Japanese prime minister, Shigeru ishiba, avoids on the eve of expressing his support for US bombings of Iranian nuclear facilities.

“Japan believes that the most important thing of all is to descale the situation as soon as possible. At the same time, the acquisition of nuclear weapons by Iran must be avoided,” says the note of the Japanese chancellor.

“In the midst of the extremely difficult circumstances surrounding the Iranian nuclear matter, the United States has been pursuing the dialogue in a serious way,” says Iweaya. “Japan understands that the United States actions demonstrate their determination for descaling the situation and at the same time preventing I will acquire nuclear weapons,” adds the statement of the Japanese chancellor.

Japan, a country with limited own energy resources, depends largely on the Middle East for the supply of hydrocarbons.

Following the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, the Japanese executive has also begun, in recent days, to evacuate its citizens and relatives who reside in Iran and Israel, through third countries. About 200 Japanese remain in Iran and another 1,000 reside in Israel, according to the Foreign Ministry. (EFE)
