The governor (Republicans) and President Luiz Inácio da Silva (PT) will not be together in the announcement of the agreement to deliver popular housing to families living in the Favela do Moinho, in the center of, on Thursday (26).
The justification given by the Bandeirantes Palace is that Tarcisio will be in another social housing event at the same time and had been previously scheduled.
The event with the presence of Lula was scheduled for 10:30 and will take place at Campo do MST Warehouse in the Center.
Already Tarcisio will participate in the delivery of housing units of Casa Paulista on 10am on the same day. The Secretary of Housing, Marcelo Cardinale Branco, will accompany him at the event.
The governor must send some employee of the Housing Secretariat to represent him alongside Lula.
The agreement between the federal and state governments for housing care to the residents of Favela do Moinho was, after conflicts between families living in the place and the Tarcisio management, which had put into practice one in the region.
Lula and Tarcisio are possible opponents in the 2026 presidential election.
