Russia launched last night against Ukrainian territory 352 drones and 16 missiles, in a new mass attack that killed at least seven people in the kyiv region, according to the Ukrainian Air Force and the civil authorities of Ukraine.
Eleven of missiles were Iskander-M ballistic missiles or their North Korean variant, KN-23.
The Ukrainian aerial defenses managed to tear down 146 Shahed attack drones and neutralized with electronic interference another 193 drones.
Of all the missiles launched by Russia, the Ukrainians knocked 7 ballistic missiles and 5 ISKANDER-M cruise missiles.
The Ukrainian Air Force registered direct impacts in 6 locations. The fragments of the intercepted missiles and drones fell into 25 other locations in the capital, kyiv, and its surroundings.
As explained by the mayor of kyiv, Vitali Klichkó, in the Shevchenko district of kyiv, 6 people have died and another 19 have been injured. Rescue services work in one of the residential buildings achieved in the attack. Klichkó has also reported material damage in three other capital districts.
The seventh fatal victim has lost his life in the town of Bila Tserkva, about 90 kilometers south of kyiv, as reported by Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko.
Russia practically attacks Ukrainian territory with drones. In recent weeks it has increased the amount of unmanned devices used in this type of attacks.
