The Santa Catarina Civil Police already has a main investigation line in the case involving the Fall of a hot air balloonwhich resulted in the deaths of eight people, on Saturday morning (21), in the city of Praia Grande, far south of the state.
13 other people, including the pilot, survived, were rescued and still hospitalized.
This Sunday (22), the acting governor, Francisco de Oliveira Neto, was in the city where the tragedy occurred and met with the mayor and other authorities of the security forces.
To the police, the fire that caused the balloon fall due to a assistant torch which was inside the basket and serves to start the flame of the main balloon.
The version was reported by witnesses heard by the corporation, including the pilot, who was one of the survivors.
Upon noticing the beginning of the fire, the pilot managed to make an emergency descent, coming to the ground. At this time, 13 people, including the pilot, managed to jump from the basket.

The inquiry has already been instituted, and should be completed within 30 days, according to the State Secretary of Public Security, Flávio Graff.

The city where the accident occurred is famous for the practice of ballooning, and known as Brazilian Cappadocia, in reference to the Turkish city.
Many of the victims, who were from the state of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, were in the city taking advantage of the holiday of Corpus Christi.
Now, the Civil Police are awaiting the results of the cadaverous reports of the victims, as well as tests that will be performed in the survivors and the expertise held at the site.
