Thanks to Maillard’s reaction, there is a stronger taste, a nice color that we associate with cooked or baked, as well as an aroma.

The chicken covered with sourdough therefore browns faster. At the same time it does not dry. In addition, the skin remains beautifully firm and crispy. Those who already have a sourdough at home can prepare not only the whole roast chicken, but also wings or thighs.

If you do not normally have a sourdough at home, you can use a quick substitute for a spoonful of yogurt and plain flour. Another option is also to mix yeast with a little milk, a spoon of plain flour and a pinch of sugar. Leave the yeast from the yeast for at least 10 to 15 minutes and can then be used.

How to prepare a sourdough chicken

What does the preparation look like? Dry the chicken with a paper cloth and just add it slightly from all sides even from the inside and massage it into a tablespoon of dried garlic and a tablespoon of dried onions. Leave the chicken to rest for at least 15 minutes.
