A man is being investigated by the Spanish civil guard after driving eight kilometers against the highway A-49 in Hinojos, Huelva, endangering the lives of various drivers. The episode, which took place in the late afternoon of June 2, ended with the interception of the vehicle in Chucena, after several dangerous evasive alerts and maneuvers by other drivers.
According to an official statement, the man was heading towards Seville when, to kilometer 40 of the road, he made inversion of march in the middle of the double road, entering the opposite direction and circulating in that direction for eight kilometers. Guardia Civil quickly activated several patrols and intercepted the driver, who featured visible signs of drunkenness.

The expired air test confirmed the suspicion: the result was positive for alcohol, giving rise to a process for crime against road safety, which could result in a prison penalty between six months and two years, in addition to the prohibition of conducting for a period of one to six years, as provided for in the Spanish Penal Code.
The driver’s performance was classified by the authorities as “extremely dangerous”, with a high risk of frontal collision. The video of the occurrence was released on social networks by Guardia Civil and has already surpassed the 25,000 views, with many comments condemning the behavior.
