According to Munoz, Diego is shaken and should surrender voluntarily. The defense petitioned this week a request for revocation of the temporary arrest, requesting that, when presenting, the suspect responds to the process in freedom, with the application of precautionary measures, as already occurred with others involved.

“Diego from the beginning intended to present themselves and we are working on this presentation in the best way possible. Regarding justice has given a deadline, it does not exist. What we are working on is so that this presentation is as soon as possible,” said the lawyer.
The defense denies that Diego acted with the intention of killing. According to the version presented by Munoz, the run over would have occurred during a moment of despair after he witnessed firearm shots at the scene.
“When you pull a gun at a party, it makes everyone nervous. When it gives a shot, this nervousness increases. He acted to get out of the shooting zone. He was scared, nervous, he bent and accelerated with the car. He realized he had hit something, came back to see, but saw armed people and was afraid.”

Regarding accusations of omission of relief and possible drunkenness behind the wheel, Munoz stated that all allegations will be dealt with during the process and that the defense will be technical, without attacks on other parties involved. He also stated that other people besides Diego and lawyer Keldheky Maia can be held responsible for the events of that dawn.
“The whole situation is spinning the spotlight between my client, Diego, and the lawyer who was with the gun. There are other people who also caused the incident. And we also come to seek and make these notes.”
