Lieutenant Colonel said on Tuesday that it was slow to report the alleged delivery of money from the former minister to because he was amazed at the arrest of his military friends accused of planning the murder of Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
The statement is in the minutes produced by the (Federal Supreme Court) on the interim license between CID and Braga Netto.
“The collaborating defendant said he did not refer to the delivery of the money because he would still be in shock due to his companions’ arrest,” says the Supreme Minutes.
The PF arrested on November 19, 2024 five people suspected of planning the murder of then-president-elect, (), the deputy (), the minister and the former minister.
Two of the prisoners were friends of Cid: the lieutenants Rafael Martins de Oliveira and Rodrigo Bezerra de Azevedo.
The former Bolsonaro orders said he was surprised by the accusations against the military. According to Lieutenant Colonel, it was for this reason that he forgot to tell that Braga Netto would have given money to the military suspected of planning the murder of Moraes in the statement to the PF.

Mauro Cid spoke for the first time about the money in the Wine Bag in Audience with Moraes, in the STF, in November 2024. At the time, the PF and the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) agreed with the cancellation of the denunciation.
Braga Netto denied the Supreme on Tuesday that he has given Cid money. He said the military sought him by asking for financial assistance, advised him that he was looking for the PL treasury and did not speak again.
The controversy was the central point of the caress between General Braga Netto and Lieutenant Colonel. The evaluation of defendants ‘defenses is that the matter was not clarified with the maintenance of the defendants’ conflicting versions.

The general denied the information. He told the Supreme that he received the military in his home because he liked Mauro Cid and answered requests for greetings and photos, but denied meeting them.
“Asked by Min Rapporteur, Cel de Oliveira was known, General Braga Netto said he never maintained any relationship with it, which may have even served under his orders, but as an intervener, his relationship was direct with battalion commanders,” he said.
The minutes produced by the Supreme also shows that Minister Alexandre de Moraes denied a request from the defense of Braga Netto to film or authorize the recording of the hearing by the lawyers.
“The request was rejected since the license is an act of instruction of the court and not an act of defense and that to avoid improper pressures, including through past leaks of what would or would not be asked to the corridors, who could compromise criminal procedural instruction,” says the minutes.
The recording was made in all the hearings and testimonials of the defendants and witnesses in the process of the coup plot. This is the first time Moraes has determined that the session would not be recorded. The only record of the caress was the minutes.
The Supreme Court also made the interim between the defendant Anderson Torres and the former army chief Marco Antonio Freire Gomes on Tuesday.
Freire Gomes told the Supreme Court that he participated in meetings with the former Minister of Justice after the 2022 elections in which the possibility of decreeing GLO (Guarantee of Law and Order) was discussed in the face of social instability and public safety risks caused by the closure of highways by truckers.
The general said, however, that he never saw Torres raise coup questions to reverse the outcome of the presidential election. “The witness reiterates his judicial statement where he stated that the defendant Anderson Torres, in his presence, never encouraged any act of legality,” he said.
The former army commander also reaffirmed that the content of the coup draft found at Anderson Torres’ house was similar to the document presented by former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to the armed forces chiefs on December 7, 2022.
Freire Gomes pointed out that the documents are not identical, but raised the same points.
“When the witness had contact with the draft found in the house of defendant Anderson Torres, he found that it was the same subject in that document on 07/12, that is, the possibility of decreeing the state of siege and GLO. As a result, the witness reaffirms that the documents have similar content, because they concern the same document.”
Asked by Minister Luiz Fux, the former army chief again told the Supreme one that he never ordered Bolsonaro for discussions of the scammer drafts.
The general said that it was only “explained to the then President of the Republic Jair Bolsonaro that, because there is no evidence of fraud in the elections, the measures provided for in this decree sketch, if applied, could be responsible for the then President of the Republic, including the possibility of being arrested.”
