Impact on airspace

And chaos is not limited only to the streets of Doha. The airspace in the region was also severely affected. Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain announced the closure of their air spaces, causing significant inconvenience for commercial flights.

According to an aviation analysis company, at least 26 commercial flights to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, or to Doha, in Qatar, were diverted due to the closure of airspace in the Middle East. Of these, 22 were of the destination Doha, 12 being operated by Qatar Airways.
