The director of the dermatology service of the Santa Maria Hospital resigned from the controversy with additional surgeries through Sigic. The news is advanced by CNN and was confirmed by SIC.
Paulo Filipe made the place available after having had access to the preliminary results of the internal report to the case. The hospital president accepted the resignation and should appoint the substitute at the board meeting scheduled for this morning.
It is recalled that Sigic allows perform surgeries beyond the service scales through financial incentives for hospital teams. But supposedly, there are limits to this activity, which cannot exceed a third of total surgical production.
The first case became public was that of the dermatologist of Santa Maria Miguel Alpalhão who, on 10 Saturdays, received 400 thousand euros. O, but it will not be unique.
