Donald Trump assures that Iran and Israel have agreed a "total fire" of 12 hours

After almost two weeks of cross attacks, missile launch in the heart of Tehran and serious threats of revenge, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced in a message posted on social networks that Iran and Israel would have reached a “high total fire” agreement that will last twelve hoursas the Republican has pointed out in Truth Social. But it will not be a simple truce in the Middle East, because the White House tenant has assured that, if everything takes place as planned, at the end of that period, “the war will be terminated.”

The announcement of this high fire between Iran and Israel occurs after the Iranian regime responded to the attack of the United States on its nuclear facilities with the launch of 14 missiles on the, in Qatar, which according to the Pentagon has not supposed any danger: thirteen were intercepted and the one that remains has not caused any damage. Trump himself in advance through diplomatic channels, a fact that allowed them to avoid possible victims: “I want to thank Iran for letting us know, which has facilitated that lives were not lost and that no one was injured.” The US president described the attack as a “very weak response” and urged, once the attack was consummated, that “Iran can now move towards peace in the region and encourage Israel to do the same.”

The announcement has been made this Tuesday through its social network Truth Social, where it has published a triumphalist message in capital letters and plagued with exclamations. “Congratulations to all!” The text begins. According to Trump, both parties have agreed to “a high total fire” that will begin approximately six hours after the announcement – when Iran and Israel “have completed their final missions ongoing” -, and will last twelve hours. During that period, he says, “the other party will remain at peace and with respect.” Once these conditions have been completed, he adds, “the end of the 12 -day war will be officially greet.”

Trump, faithful to his style, has left little space for conventional diplomacy. “This is a war that could have lasted for years and destroyed all the Middle East, but he has not done so, and he will never do it!” He has written, before closing with his usual patriotic challenge: “God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America and God bless the world!”

Before announcing the truce, the president had already reduced the tension after the Iranian attack with missiles against the American Air Base of Al Udeid, in Qatar. As he explained, Iran warned in advance through diplomatic channels and thanks to this “no lives were lost and no one was injured.” Of the fourteen projectiles launched, thirteen were intercepted and the remaining “was not demolished because it was directed in a direction that was not dangerous,” he explained. “I am pleased to inform that no American has died or wounded and, very important, there is also no dead or injured crows,” Trump wrote, who also thanked the EMIR of Qatar for his role to preserve regional stability.

The Iranian attack was presented by Tehran as a legitimate retaliation for Sunday’s American bombing on “peaceful” nuclear facilities, according to the revolutionary guard. In a statement broadcast on Irib public television, the Armed Forces extolled the attack as “devastating and powerful,” and assured that in no case will they allow a violation of their “territorial integrity, sovereignty and national security.” They would also emphasize that the bases attacked were away from urban areas and that this action “does not imply any threat to the friend and brother of Qatar and its noble people.”

The offensive was received with an avalanche of convictions by the Gulf countries. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan and Palestine expressed their rejection of attack, and Riad even announced the “deployment of all its means” in support of Qatar. For his part, Oman, a habitual mediator in the conflicts between Washington and Tehran, crossed out the Iranian bombing of “unacceptable act”, although he recalled that the current climb began with Israel’s “illegal” attack on Iran on June 13.

Twelve days of crossfire

On June 13, Israel bombed by surprise several facilities of the Iranian nuclear program and objectives related to its ballistic missiles. He did it without prior notice and without international support. That marked the beginning of what Trump already calls “the 12 -day war.”

The Israeli offensive was increasing over the days. This Monday, Tel Aviv executed the largest wave of attacks ever seen against Tehran. It was not limited to military or nuclear objectives: it reached directly EVIN, the most emblematic prison of the regime, where opponents, political prisoners and several foreign citizens are locked. The images released by Iranian state television showed corpses and debris in the prison court. Bombarders against revolutionary guard and electrical stations were also reported that left broad areas of the capital without light.

“The force with which we are hitting the regime is unprecedented,” said Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz. “We are attacking structures of the repressive power of the regime in the heart of Tehran.”

Given the intensity of the attacks, an important part of the capital population – after 10 million people – left the city for security. Tehran’s threats to block the Ormuz Strait did not become completed, and the price of oil fell 7% in full volatility, which suggests that the market did not believe in a definitive escalation.

The entrance of the United States into the war, last weekend, was a turning point. Washington launched 30,000 -pound antibunker bombs against underground nuclear centers, in what they will consider direct aggression. From that moment on, the regime intensified its rhetoric and threatened with more hard reprisals. “We will not accept that no one attacks us. We will not submit to any aggression,” said the supreme leader, Ali Jamenei. “That is the logic of the Iranian nation.”

At the same time, the debate on the succession of Ayatollah, 86, was reactivated. Diplomatic sources cited by Reuters ensure that internal discussions have accelerated, and the names of the cleric mojtaba Jamenei and Hassan Jomeiní – niet of the founder of the Islamic Republic – sound strongly in the halls of power.

Trump, who during the weekend came to suggest a regime change in Tehran, has now presented himself as a peace guarantor. In his message about the truce, he wrote: “Congratulations to both countries, Israel and Iran, for having resistance, courage and intelligence to end what should be called ‘The War of 12 days’.”

The agreed choreography is accurate: I will activate the high fire; Twelve hours later Israel does. And at 24 hours, “the world will officially greet the end of war,” in Trump’s words. There is no independent verification, nor observers, nor signed agreement. Only his word and his social network.

For now, the bombs have stopped falling. But Middle East is still in suspense.
