Finance ministers, Fernando Haddad, and Health, Alexandre Padilha, will give a press conference on Tuesday, 24, about the exchange of debts for specialized medical care to SUS. The press conference is scheduled to take place between 14h and 15h in the auditorium of the Ministry of Health, in Brasilia.
The program now has specialists will enable private and philanthropic hospitals to provide specialized care for SUS patients. As a counterpart, these entities will be able to deduct tax debts with the Union. The purpose of the measure is to expand the capacity of care in order to reduce the queue for consultations, examinations and surgeries in the SUS.
Haddad returned on vacation on Monday, 23, and had a meeting with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva about the CREDA program. The remainder of the minister’s agenda was not released, and the advisory said he would have only internal orders.
