With developments in running at a speed of … fighter aircraft and the ceasefire announced to appear ready to collapse, the factors that could lead to the continuation or not of the conflict – come to the fore.
Trump’s gift to Bibi
The US president, with its practical support for Israel in attacking Tehran and its nuclear program, also made a personal thanks to his “friend” Bibi Netanyahu (as Trump himself called him). It made him an increase in … political capital.
Trump support has provided a (occasional) protection to Netanyahu from the deterioration that exists as a politician within Israel both because of his coalition with the far -right and his open judicial affairs for corruption, and because of his choices in Gaza today.
Battle for political survival
How crowded politically Netanyahu was before the start of businesses against Iran – and apparently he will continue to be with or without a truce – is also demonstrated by the fact that his government has avoided the collapse on the issue of the recruitment of the overactive Jews.
The “kiss of life” given by Donald Trump, however, with the US intervention and the blows to Iran’s nuclear facilities, probably does not provide him with his political survival for a long time or at least does not provide him with it as clearly as leading the Israeli army.
Confronted with the same impasses
Israel officially accepted the power of a truce that Trump has arbitrarily announced to save politically within the US, but a truce is not clearly in the interest of Benjamin Netanyahu himself, as he was re -facing him.
On the other hand, of course, a truce will allow Netanyahu to focus on the other big front, that of Gaza, as the far -right with which she is gone.
