Iran intends to continue the nuclear program even after attacks on its most important nuclear devices. The production process should continue without interruption, said the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami on Tuesday on state television. He is currently assessing the damage, he informs TASR based on the DPA report.
According to experts, the extent of the damage to Israel and the United States on Iranian nuclear races is unclear. The US was attacked, among other things, bombs designed to destroy bunkers on the underground complex of Fordó. US President Donald Trump then spoke of the complete destruction of important facilities, but it is not confirmed, DPA recalled.
The declared goal of Israel’s air strikes was to stop Tehran’s nuclear program and end the threat that Iranian arms programs pose to the country. Tehran constantly emphasizes that its nuclear program has exclusively peaceful purposes. Nevertheless, it enriches uranium to 60 percent, far above the usual level for civilian nuclear reactors. For the production of nuclear weapons, uranium must be enriched to more than 90 percent.
