The prosecution involves alleged attempt to interfere with, conducted by the Federal Police and the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU).
Lula Declaration motivates request
The central motivation of the application is a Lula speech at a news conference on June 3, when the president said he ordered the control bodies to act with “much caution” to avoid “crucifixions” of suspicious entities. According to parliamentarians, the pronouncement represents a possible embarrassment to the autonomy of PF and CGU.
“Although the apparent discourse prudence, in practice, constitutes a veiled way of conditioning or relativizing ongoing findings,” says the text.
