There are recipes that with each bite transfer us to childhood – this one rhubarb cake like from the PRL It certainly includes them.

My grandmother often made such a simple dessert, which immediately accumulated us all at the table. We ate this baking together with his cousins, cheerfully. As soon as the rhubarb season begins, I always know what I have to bake.

  • 200 g cukru,
  • 100 g of margarine,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 180 g of wheat flour,
  • 120 g of potato flour,
  • 1 flat teaspoon of baking powder.

Filling:

  • 500 g of rhubarb,
  • 30 g cukru,
  • 1 flat spoon of honey,
  • 1 tablespoon of butter,
  • Powder sugar for sprinkling.

Mix margarine with sugar and eggs. Grate the whole until all the ingredients combine. Then pour in wheat, potato flour and baking powder. Grate briefly to connect.

Wash the rhubarb thoroughly, dry and peel. Cut into cubes. Fry the rhubarb in butter until it releases juice. Then add sugar and honey, mix thoroughly. Strain on a sieve. Set aside to cool. Put the dough on a baking tray about 30 x 25 cm slightly smeared with margarine residue. Put the stuffing from the fruit.

Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
