Russian armory production raises concerns of the West. NATO is preparing a significant increase in the military budget.

It is unthinkable for Russia to be able to produce more weapons than the North Atlantic Alliance, which has a 25-fold strong economy, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Tuesday in the Haague, Haaga forum. According to the DPA report, TASR reports this.

“We have to do more … We have to spend more resources to prevent war. We have to win this new production war (weapons),” Rutte added.

Russia increases the production of weapons

Russia, which has been in the war with Ukraine for more than three years, massively increased its armament production, which raises concerns for Western politicians that it could be ready to attack NATO in a few years, writes DPA.

On Tuesday, the Hague will start 34. Leaders are expected to officially approve the commitment to significantly increase military expenses to up to five percent of GDP per year. From this amount directly to the army, the amount equal to 3.5 percent of GDP and 1.5 percent of GDP should be intended for further defense expenses, such as building or reconstruction of infrastructure.

Participation of world leaders

Prime Ministers and Presidents of all 32 Member States, including US President Donald Trump, should participate in the meeting. The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Greenable, Prime Minister of New Zealand Christopher Luxon, President of the European Commission Ursula von Der Leyen and President of the European Council António Costa will also be present.
