Despite having lost to Atletico Madrid in the last round of the group stage, the Botafogo guaranteed the classification for the round of 16 of the Club World Cup. The team led by Renato Paiva finished second in group B, behind PSG. In Group A, the Palm trees Draw with Inter Miami and ended in the lead, with five points and advantage of a goal in the balance.
With this, the Brazilian teams will face in game 1 of the round of 16. Duel marks the first meeting among Brazilians at the Club World Cup. The game will be on Saturday, June 28, at 13h.
