Delegate Dennis Cali was chosen by the Federal Police Directorate-General to command the agency’s Investigation and Combating Organized Crime Directorate. The area, considered one of the most sensitive of the police, is responsible for conducting surveys who are in office politicians, including the President of the Republic.
Cali was the manager of the Judicial Police of the Federal Police Regional Superintendence in São Paulo and commanded all PF units in the state that take care of the judicial police, that is, investigations.
One of his tasks was to provide the means so that investigations could happen, both material and human resources. Police understand that these administrative measures directly impact these investigations.
In this role, he coordinated Tacitus Operation on the whistleblower, shot dead at Guarulhos airport in November 2024. During the 2016 Olympic Games, he acted as head of the anti -terrorism division.
Cali does not directly preside over investigations, but is considered a strong picture in the intelligence sector. He would have been chosen by the direction for his competence, dedication and exemplary trajectory throughout his career in the Federal Police.
Prior to that, Cali also served, between 2023 and 2024, as head of the Special Federal Police Station at São Paulo International Airport (Guarulhos). He was also PF regional superintendent in São Paulo for a brief period in 2021 and Ceará, between 2019 and 2021.
Cali will enter the place, which will assume the presidency of Coaf (Financial Activities Control Council) on July 1. He will replace Ricardo Liáo, who is a career servant for the monetary authority and has been in office since August 2019.
Saadi has been a coaf advisor. As a federal delegate, he has experience in areas such as combating organized crime and money laundering, related to the performance of the control agency. He is currently director of investigation and combating organized crime and corruption in the Federal Police.
