The Federal Supreme Court () holds two disorders between Tuesday (24), between defendants and witnesses of the criminal action that judges an alleged coup attempt after the 2022 elections. One of the hearings will bring together Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid and former Minister and General Walter Braga Netto. Both are defendants of the “crucial core” of criminal action. Another meeting will confront the reports of former Minister Anderson Torres and former army commander Marco Antonio Freire Gomes. Torres is a defendant, while Freire Gomes is a witness to the process.
Acareration is an audience held between judge and parts of a case to clarify divergent versions of the facts judged. The procedure will be conducted by the Minister of the Supreme Court, rapporteur of the case. Unlike the hearing with the defendants’ interrogations, there will be no live transmission of the bundles. Nor will it be allowed to monitor the sessions by the press, as performed during the testimonial collection phase.
Mauro cid x braga net
Cid and Braga Netto is requested by the defense of the former Minister of the Civil House and the Defense. There are contradictory versions of a meeting that took place in November 2022 at the home of the reserve general. According to the former joint order and whistleblower in the process, the “green and yellow dagger” plan, which provided for the execution of authorities such as Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) and Moraes, was debated during the meeting. Braga Netto, in turn, denies knowledge about the criminal sketch.
The versions of Braga Netto and Cid are also mismatched about an episode involving an amount of money delivered by the General to Lieutenant Colonel in a box of wine, according to the former orders of orders. The caressing between Braga Netto and Cid will take place from 10am.
Anderson Torres x Freire Gomes
At the request of the defense of Anderson Torres, a caress will be held between the former Minister of Justice and Freire Gomes. The former army commander states that Torres attended meetings in which exception measures were discussed, while the former minister denies the statement. The audience between Torres and Freire Gomes will take place from 11am.
