The US President says the fighting should end within a few hours, the countries have not yet confirmed the agreement.

US President Donald Trump announced a “complete and totally” ceasefire between Israel and Iran on social networks at night. According to Trump, the ceasefire will begin “in about six hours” after both countries end their military operations.

Trump called the conflict “12-day war” and said that “this is a war that could last for years and destroy the entire Middle East, but it did not happen and never happened!”

The President said that after 24 hours the war would be officially ended. “Assuming everything will work as it should, what will be, I would like to congratulate both countries,” Trump added in his contribution.

The chák is to be confirmed

Neither Israel nor Iran have confirmed the ceasefire yet, and there is no guarantee that the fighting will actually end or that the ceasefire will last.

If the agreement succeeds, Trump’s administration is likely to be described as one of the most important foreign policy successes of the White House. So far, the President has not fulfilled his big promises to end the wars in Ukraine and in Gaza. Trump will travel to the NATO summit tomorrow.
